Much like the rye, it has a really great green apple note that really cuts through. Other than that, you can get some vanilla with leather. There isn't a much going on with the flavor profile, but what's there really comes together well.
Nose: Vanilla and spice is primarily what you smell on the nose. I
Palate: light to medium mouth feel. The first thing I tasted was a strong vanilla note into a strong spice.
Finish: The finish is a little more spicer than most 100 proofs would drink, but it wasn’t unbearable.
Overall it’s not a complex bourbon. I think it drink within its price point but it’s nothing you will rave about. It’s a drink you sit down while watching tv with.
Nose has brown sugar and star anise, along with faint hints of green apple.
The anise/cinnamon carries through on the palate, along with caramel/vanilla sweetness. Both have mild endurance while the spice lingers.
