Nose is of stewed apples and pears with green apple skins, strawberry hard candy, and soft caramel. Taste is initially apple and pear Jelly Belly, then going on to vanilla barrel spice. Then moves on to the nuttiness of a pecan nut praline cookie before finally finishing with raisins and cocoa powder. Has a surprisingly long evolution and more of a burn than would be expected of its 51.4% abv. BTW, with a touch of water, it goes straight from fruit to chocolate. It is less complex but no less delicious.
