Octomore Masterclass 08.2/167

Having read the notes and knowing it is a heavily prayed scotch was caught of guard with the first expression being a solid chocolate and dark cherry. The smoke came on the exhale and was delicious. This was the best scotch I have ever tried.

Not for the faint-hearted yet, it can be enjoyed by anyone. Lots of peat, indeed, sweet, fruity, very rich!

grape, refreshing berry, hi pep, creamy complex, oak, vanilla, apple 3 thick, creamy, refreshing berries, cherries, load and loads of eur oaky, coffee - chocolate, dark choco 3.25 oaky, choco 2.75 3 red berries, mid pep, cherry, creamy, chocolate, vanilla 3 sweetness huge red berries, and grapes, creamy muted bitter cocoa beans, you get this nice chocolate engulf your mouth, sweetness and cherry 3 high sustained not so much soot that would suggest from a octomore, i feel more you get a mellow peat 3 - this isn't so much of a peaty whisky but more of a cherry/red/european oak influenced type of whisky 3
