Old Forester 1870 Original Batch

The nose has lots of oak. There are also nice cherry and apple aromas. I taste lots of oak, subtle cherry, and I think, cinnamon. It’s definitely on the sweet side of bourbon, but not overly so. It’s a very good whiskey.

warm then sweet with backend throat heat

Fruit and caramel a hint of heat and spice and then it fades slowly away

Nose of light vanilla and honey. Scant black pepper. Big notes of oak with some light spice from the rye. Extremely soft.
