Old Forester 1870 Original Batch

This has strong orange and almond aromas. Very interesting. The taste is more grain-forward with notes of oak, vanilla, and orange peel. Not a super sweet bourbon.

Very woody. A little thinner. Bitter on finish. Not as much fruits or banana. Not as dark.

Fruit in the nose and a little “soapy” (not the glass, I tried a couple different glasses!). Palette is mild. Not a very long finish. More heat than I’d expect in a 90 proof.
