Old Forester Single Barrel Bourbon Barrel Strength

My pick came out if warehouse K. Complex, at 128 proof drinking around 105-110. Typical old forester heavy brown sugar, carmal. Dark sweetness and heavenly aroma keeps me coming back for more.

Marthas Vineyard Barrel Pick Fall 2022 Warehouse: K Floor: 3 Proof: 129.3 Nose: Heavy brown sugar, light vanilla with no ethanol burn or smell at all. Palate: Sweet brown sugar and oatmeal cookie. Finish: Smooth spice with very gentle Kentucky hug. This is by far the smoothest and sweetest high proof bourbon I have ever had. Absolutely no wincing reaction. Drinks well below the proof. Long finish.

LAX DC 2021 Proof - 133.7 Warehouse 1, Floor 8 Wood and spice bomb. Water helps to open it up. Apples, pit fruit maybe. Oak throughout. Something I need to come back to and try again not after turkey and stuffing. Very much enjoy it. A longer finish. The proof maybe hides a bit of the notes. Solid, but spicy and missing some sweet to balance which is becoming typical with barrel proof OF selections
