I get leather, cinnamon, rock candy, and black pepper on the palate. This bourbon has a decent bite to it, but isn’t overly hot for 57% ABV. There’s a tingling sensation on the finish, probably from the rye, but also possibly in combination with the higher proof point.

Nose is cinnamon candy (red hots / hot tamales), slight leather and maybe a whiff of peanut shell type nuttiness.
Flavor is cinnamon rock candy (not as sharp as the nose implied) with peanuts and some brown sugar.
Finish reminds me of candied pecans (cinnamon, sugar and nuttiness).
Nose is leather, then vanilla, maybe buttered popcorn, and then back to leather like your old leather messenger bag you have had for 20 years
Sips bring out all these thing with cinnamon and red hots added.
Long finish of oak tannins and cinnamon
So darn good
I don’t know of the bourbon is really a 3.5 quality but the value is off the charts. I would say early times is the only other bourbon tongs gives it a run for the money.
