Old Pulteney 12 Year

Full-flavored and rich, but overall quite gentle, approachable and oh-so-sweet. Honey. Loads of vanilla. Lemon cream. Rich, malty cereal notes, with a silky, creamy mouthfeel. Peaches. Substantial minerality morphs into the much anticipated “characteristic” saltiness but really blends seamlessly with the other flavors. Definitely a dessert dram, and not a world-beater due to a pretty linear flavor profile, but tasty stuff that can be an exceptional value and has an extra couple of dimensions versus nearly all competition at this price point.

올드 풀티니 12년 Old Pulteney 12y -스코틀랜드 북부 해안가의 창고에서 숙성, 바닷바람으로 독특한 향과 맛을 자아냄 -ex버번배럴 숙성 -World Whisky Awards 2010 우승 향 : 옅은 가운데 한번에 캐치하기 힘든 묘한 향이 납니다. 완전히 익지는 않은 바나나 껍질 위에 하몽을 얹어놓고 불로 좀 태우면 이런 느낌일까 합니다(완전한 소설). 직관적으로 말하면 아주 연한 바나나 향에 옅은 짠기가 있습니다. 코를 깊이 박고 들이마셔도 전혀 알콜감이 안느껴집니다. 맛 : 베스킨라빈스의 슈팅스타처럼 물의 질감 중에 톡톡 스파이시 함이 입안 군데 군데를 쳐줍니다. 꿀, 바나나류, 강하지 않은 알코올(한 10도쯤 되는 소주같은?)이 느껴집니다. 틈틈히 짠맛이 있지만, 굵기가 없는 소금간이 베인 듯이 느껴지는게 마치 단짠단짠 스럽습니다. 피니쉬 : 깨끗하고 연한 오크함이 느껴집니다. 쓰거나 쌉쌀하지 않은 피니쉬가 다음 한모금을 금새 불러옵니다. 한줄평 : 위스키의 향과 맛이 적어야 하는 아이리쉬 커피같이 올드풀티디 커피를 만들어도 좋을 듯
