Nose: Carmel with a hint of char. As you bring it into to taste you do get a whiff of corn.
Pallet: Simple and the would a good entry into 100 proof as it is not harsh or over bitty. There is a thickness to it and it has a standard flavor profile but nothing is standing out other than the wood char of the barrel.
Finish: Some heat but the spice lasts longer which is a nice characteristic.
Fairly one dimensional but BIB for $25 and is smooth, I’ve had worse the costed a lot more. This is going to make in it at some point for my barrel aged old fashions. I bough a case when this came and did some damage this summer. On ice, by the second or third it starts to go down really easy.
