High notes of sweet cherries, vanilla and almond blast the pallet. The nosing is hard to get past (industrial chemical) but the taste is worth it.
Finish is smooth and relaxing - for the price it is a great drinking option for the collection and everyday imbibing.
Forefront is pungent, but middle is sweet caramel, vanilla, and faint pancake batter. Mild oak. Fairly light and vibrant. Finishes almost clean. If it weren't for the objectionable nose, would be a solid budget whisky.
Maybe some vanilla on the nose with a “typical” inexpensive Canadian Whiskey taste. I’m not much of a Canadian Whiskey fan except for Crown. Just, for me, not my bag. Not a whole lot going on with this. Meh....
If you live in the PNW, it’s inevitable that you’re gonna drink some of this. It’s Canadian but blended here in OR. No, it won’t blow your mind with complexity, it’s basically sweet and carmel with some oak and butterscotch. Easy sipping and sometimes that’s what you want. Pendleton and rootbeer (Henry Weinhard’s if you’re a local) is a decent cocktail!
