Plantation Barbados 5 Year Rum

In de neus karamel, banaan en kokos. Redelijk volle body en smaak. Zoet, banaan, kokos, karamel en boterbabbelaar. Mooi product maar voor mij teveel kokos.

Really great rum for the price. I recommend it to all my friends who are new to rum.

Tldr: get it for a tropical fruit inflected daiquiri. Neat: Sweet, medium ethanol, pineapple, coconut, some mango on the nose. Taste has the same notes with a lot of sweet vanilla. Definitely sweetened although not painfully so. Daiquiri: quite compelling. Has a strong piña colada inflection. I like it with a light hand on the sugar and medium on the line.

Huge vanilla aroma

This rum is so good. This is a boubon drinkers rum. Its sweet dont get me wrong. But i hate funk and none of that here. If you want to make an old fashioned add a bar spoon of maple syrup a bar spoon of demerara and a dash or two of bitters.
