Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond

Have been waiting for this to become available in my state liquor controlled province 😅. Worth the wait for sure. Goes down very easy. Lovely spicy as you can expect from a decent rye. Leathery, tobacco, vanilla. It's pretty complex, nice layers to it. This bottle won't last long 🍻

Sweet and spicy, but not as full bodied as I would like.

Nose is predominantly cinnamon candy, rye spice, caramel and cherry. Front palate has very subtle hints of cherry, caramel and vanilla. Mid-palate is reminiscent of a buttered rye toast. Finish is spicy with leather and pepper notes that lingers for a medium length.

A must for Manhattans. I always have it on hand.

Nose: Sweet with Rye Spice. Vanilla with pepper and Pine Palate: A nice blend of rye spice and traditional bourbon flavors like vanilla, oak. I would describe it as bourbon friendly rye. Finish: Medium-Short with a slightly viscous mouthfeel. Rye spice delivers a fairly nice finish. Overall a solid whisky. Bourbon friendky that i think is perfect for cocktails. Can be drunk on its own but probably not my first choice
