Been going through Buffalo Trace products lately. (there's still many I have to try.) I found this one to be on the top of the list for me so far.
Pine, citrus, honey and spice on the nose. The flavor profile was a Rollercoaster ride. Begins with fruit notes, then I start quickly getting malty and dark notes on the pallette. Smoked oak and rye spice emerges with a bit of mint. The mint begins with grow with each sip but underneath it, the shifting of flavors is still present.
As far as ryes go, it might lack on what you would regularly expect. It's strength is its wide array of flavors it brings.
