Color: Burnt sienna/mahogany/red-orange (or is it orange-red?)
Nose: burnt sienna…no - burnt orange; smoked caramel with smooth jazz playing quietly in the next room
Palate: orange rye smoke sugar
Finish: short and sweet like she likes it but there’s always another round
Nose: candied apples and oranges
Palate: baking spice and vanilla
Finish: light and smooth. Drinks under proof. Not overly spicy like some ryes.
Overall this is a very good bottle. I’d have this on hand if you can get your hands on it.
Nose: buttery, warm glazed donuts, baking spice
Palate: drinks like a 90 proof even though it’s a rye (very crushable), don’t get a ton of spice, little dry oak on the back end
Finish: medium, not overly complex (young)
Overall: solid pour overall, staple rye
