Starward Solera Single Malt

Nose: Dulce de Leche, Vanilla, and full of fruit. Banana, pineapple, and apple. Palete: Dulce de Leche, sweet baking and barrel spices, bananas, and darker figs. Finish: Medium in length with sweet spice that fades into a dry spice. Summary: The Solera aging process is showing here with deeper darker notes that the Nova. Keep an eye on this one as it's gets older. Might be something incredible.

Not getting a lot of the stuff others are tasting. Mostly spiritus or strong alcohol tastes that last longer than any of the other flavours. Getting a little bit of the dried fruit but mostly spices, just not as exciting as other whiskey’s witb a nutty/oily aftertaste.

Nose: crème brûlée Palate: toasted marshmallow, graham cracker Finish: caramel Interesting - a bit sweet for me but tastes like a smore.

It's crafted with 100% Australian malted barley that’s been fermented with brewer’s yeast & double-distilled; then aged exclusively in re-sized Apera casks using the solera aging technique. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & fruity life adds notes of stewed prunes, Fig Newton, malted barley, Sherry, that led to a warm & spicy death of medium length adding notes of oak sawdust, cappuccino, chocolate cream, raw almonds, marzipan, cinnamon, nutmeg, hints of English toffee & Crème brûlée. Bit of an oddity this one.... mashed fruits on the nose and the front of the palate. A bite of tobacco mid-way through the sip and a smooth quick finish. This one sneaks back up after you think it's finished with a bit of vanilla. It's like somebody thought they should mix their sangria with their whiskey....
