Still Austin “Red Corn”
Nose: brown sugar and vanilla
Palate: Vanilla Coke or like a light cream soda. It’s tasty af. My wife found the Vanilla Coke note too and she never finds tasting notes 😂. I also got a bit of cherry coke on the second pour. Caramel.
Finish: rye spices on the back end. I got this bottle at total wine in Texas because it seemed like a weird mash bill but turns out its legit. SA makes really good Texas stuff with no Texas funk. Im not a fan of the texas hay funk.
The bottle does take time to open up...
Nosing reminds me of caramel apple and slightly grandma's stale perfume, and it's the lesser part of the experience.
Palate is better: apple bubble gum, black licorice, silky corn oils, and a nice complexity from the red corn (almost amaretto like) has replaced the perfume note.
