Weller Special Reserve Bourbon

I’m new to identifying specific tasting notes, but when I taste this bourbon, I get bit of an apple flavor with a strong, smooth, and lingering vanilla finish. This is excellent, and I’m glad I purchased it.

I think I get it now. I didn’t truly appreciate this the first couple times I tasted it, well few times. Tasting it today, I find hints of citrus, probably orange, with wheat and shortbread cookies on the nose.  On the palate, it’s somewhat silky, with wheat bread, porridge, malt, citrus, honey, vanilla, and very slight baking spices. The finish is medium length with a smoldering warmth which I find delightful.

Tbh, this was the first time I didn't love this pour. Still good whiskey at MSRP, but don't pay too much over.
