Weller Special Reserve Bourbon

On the nose, it’s definitely sweet honey. Taste is sweet vanilla, caramel, and strong spice.

Weller offers nothing extraordinary from a wheated bourbon. It’s quite traditional and score it down a bit due to some sharpness on the nose and taste that doesn’t always come across in the way most would rate as a positive note. Definitely one to have on hand and since it’s a BT product more sought after these days than probably is warranted. Don’t pay more than ~$22 MSRP as that’s what it drinks like.

Nose: sweet. Butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, cherries, honey, maple syrup, apples, dark fruit. Taste: Apple, caramel, and honey really come out. Quite floral too. Finish: Short, a little dry, not much burn. Smooth.

Sweet apple nose, continues on the palate with a little spice. Long finish, pretty smooth & crisp at the end.

A great easy drink for a great price when you can find it. Light fruit with plenty of caramel. Finish doesn’t last too long, but lingers plenty!

Very faint aromas of vanilla. Tastes of vanilla and faint oak and finishes with some caramel flavors.
