Whiskey Del Bac Dorado Mesquite Smoked Single Malt

A really nice whiskey, but I would be hard-pressed to say it tasted of mesquite.  certainly not like a peaty scotch. 

Love it! This is unique in a world where it’s hard to find something that stands out.

Smokiness as it goes down gives way to a burning of the throat. It gets better the more I drink it.

Tried at a whiskey bar. Wow. Nose is rich smoke and meat. Makes you think of barbecue! Palate is smokey and deep. Reminds me of some sort of sweet baked desert but I can't place it right now. Creme brulee maybe(the charred part). Finish is medium but the smoke lingers. The mesquite is at the front but works!

Really enjoyed this whiskey, the mesquite flavor was not overpowering but was definitely there and worked really well. This also made an excellent highball. This bottle got passed around by a half dozen or so hypercritical drinkers over the course of the evening and got good reviews from all.
