Lock Stock & Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey 20 Year
Rye — Canada
Reviewed May 6, 2022 (edited June 24, 2022)Nose - almost a rum caramel and rye smell. Taste- this rye has some pop, multilayered, its actually the driest rye I've had. It almost has a dry rye bomb (like a sherry bomb but not). Its got tang, numb, pepper and then the sweet strength. An interesting balance. Finish - tangy, peppery rye bomb fades into a numb that stays in your mouth and on tongue for minutes. This rye is wierd and funky, in a good way! I've only had this kind of action with a scotch. It's not for everyone (for sure). But I like it
