High West Rendezvous Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed January 3, 2020 (edited February 25, 2020)Classic rye that has been tamed somewhat. It doesn't have the spiky quality I associate with rye. The spices, herbal flavors are there. I prefer double rye, as it's more aggressive, but this is a very friendly intro the the world of rye. -
High West High Country American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Utah, USA
Reviewed January 3, 2020 (edited January 8, 2020)Vanilla, honey, dust, life cereal, and a hint of peat smoke on the nose. Palate is dried fruit, peat, earth, caramel, and grain. Reminds me of highland Park 12, but more...American? Very interesting stuff. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed January 3, 2020A great balance between vanilla Bourbon sweetness and Woody smoke. Tastes like a campfire! The scotch element isn't briny, just pleasantly earthy and smoky. Not super complex, but highly enjoyable. -
