A balanced, English gin from The Bath Gin Company which was born from the folks at the Canary Gin Bar on Queen Street. Their Bath Gin features a selection of 10 botanicals: Cassia Bark, Lemon Peel, Burnt Orange Peel, Cubeb Berry, Licorice, Cardamom, Angelica Root, Wormwood, Kaffir Lime Leaf, as well as the necessary Juniper Berry, for a smooth finish. And yes, that is Jane Austen giving you a cheeky wink on the label. February 2018

It has an aromatic birth with notes of citrus, hints of coriander & cinnamon; while a full & creamy life adds notes of juniper & orange; that led to a long & warming cinnamon lovers' death. An intense, gin crafted with a traditional ingredients as well as foraged botanicals such as nettles. It takes its name from the disarmingly pretty Scottish city its founders, Cameron & June McCann, call home. The label depicts the National Wallace Monument. It has an aromatic birth with notes of fruit, juniper & spice; while the bold life adds notes of citrus, orange, herbs, angelica & nettles; that led to a sweet & savory death of medium length. A balanced, somewhere between a London Dry style and an Old Tom, from Sheffield, boasting a radiant flavor profile thanks to the botanical selection, which includes elderflower, dandelion & pink grapefruit. The name is a reference to local legend, Robin Hood! It has an aromatic birth with notes of juniper & elderflower; while a floral life adds notes of warm cassis & dandelion; that led to a rich death of medium length adding notes of citrus & pink grapefruit. An intense, twenty-first century gin made with juniper, Scots pine, fresh grapefruit peel, fresh lemon peel, coriander seed, cardamom, angelica root, orris root, Thai lemon grass, pink peppercorn, kaffir lime leaf, mace, almond & lavender flower. It opens with notes of juniper berries, lemongrass & Kaffir lime leaf; a medium body with notes of zest, delicate spice, coriander, pink peppercorns & mace; while finishing complex with notes of citrus fruits, lavender, delicate floral sweetness & Scots pine. An elegant, grain to glass, Cask Aged Gin by Paul Hletko founder of FEW Spirits Distillery in Evanston, Illinois. It starts with a base grain Spirit that has the base character cooked out of it; then infuse botanicals & one of those is hops. It has an aromatic birth with notes of black pepper, lemon zest & a hint of pine; while a rich & spicy life adds notes of shortbread, ginger, pine, fennel, juniper & berry compote; that leads to a balanced death with hints of wood, gingerbread & strawberry.
