Yellow Spot 12 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed August 11, 2018 (edited January 15, 2019)Complex and flavoursome with a pleasant burn on the finish. A good Whiskey but I would probably go for green spot instead on cost performance -
Green Spot Château Léoville Barton Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed May 12, 2018Sweet and round. Like an apple -
I tried the C-si, 9-473 2013 edition. Initial nose is more subtle than the standard 12 year, with some subtle fruit notes that are unexpected (apple vinegar?). On the palate it is sweet and smooth. There is peat, but just a bass tone. No scorched bacon, but replaced with burnt sugar. Peachy aftertaste. Definitely worth a spin.

Teeling Single Grain Whiskey
Single Grain — Ireland
Reviewed December 17, 2017 (edited September 25, 2018)Not bad, but not great either. For a single grain it doesn't have the light and fruity cereal tones in full effect. -
Port Charlotte Islay Barley
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 20, 2017 (edited March 11, 2019)This is perfectly balanced. Just the right amount of peat, vanilla, wood and spice. Even at 50% it is very pleasant to drink neat, and opens up nicely with a drop of water. My favorite offering from Bruichladdich so far! -
Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed September 7, 2017 (edited September 8, 2017)A nice, flavorsome whisky with cereal sweetness. Almost bereft of finish. Disappears like kaiser soze without a trace
