Jura Diurachs' Own 16 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 14, 2016 (edited September 22, 2017)Not bad but not as nice as other Jura offerings like prophecy. Reminded me of a punchy oban. A bit of citrus, some oatiness and toffee. -
Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed September 17, 2016 (edited September 25, 2018)Really enjoying this one. It has everything you would expect from a pot still and feels exceptionally smooth in the mouth. Loads of banana and cereal. -
Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 6, 2016 (edited August 5, 2017)Smooth and nutty. Less full on than the 10yr but still brings nice medicinal flavour. -
Glenfarclas 17 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed June 15, 2016 (edited December 31, 2016)Lovely creamy mouthful, with a buttery, sherried taste that dissipates to leave different hints with each sip - dried fruits, fruitcake, caramel, maybe even wensleydale cheese? Sweet but not overly so, really enjoyable.
