Good standard rye with the typical pepper and spice. It’s not overly complex like other higher end ryes but will work well in cocktails.

There is a distinct flavor profile that comes through well. It has spice but got a strong profile of cherry wood and vanilla that came through. Very good bourbon and one of my favorites.

More oily and complex than some other options at this price point. Smells and tastes fairly sweet with some layer or orange and fruitiness to go along with some pepper. Good option for cocktails.

Surprising amount of spice given the lower proof. Also get a level of sweetness with it but overall seems fairly standard and lacks complexity.

All I really got was pepper and ethanol. Some higher barrel proof bourbons I can handle, but this one seemed overpowering. I’d go to the 1910 over this.

Don't get the desert taste that others do. Overall seemed like a fairly standard whiskey. Some fruit elements, not a super long finish.

Lot of heat neat. Excellent with a little ice. Unique rye flavor with the rum cask finish. Amazing in cocktails.

Thought it would be similar to Weller SR but to me they were quite different. This was less sweet and more spice/apple. With ice it smoothed out and got a little sweeter but wouldn’t put it up with the SR.
