Tastes

Spicy I know this is out of line with what Distiller says, but this is really spicy to me. When I drink this I get a barrel like spice. The burn from drinking this is similar to the burn from drinking a spicy whiskey, perhaps I'm conflating senses here, but this seems spicy. I actually can't taste the agave that well in this, I taste more of the earthy aspect of it. This was a really cheap tequila, so its almost always worth it. The only thing is that I get more of the earthy notes from the agave than the vegetal ones, and that takes a bit of an adjustment.

Earthy, Herbal and Fruity: This tequila tastes and smells deeply earthy at first. It tastes like the agave plant and the ground it came from, its super deep and dark, I don't really enjoy it. On the second sip, that goes away, and all I can taste is the aftertaste I get from orange juice. I don't like the clash of those two flavors, at first I taste the earthy darkness, but then I get overtaken by that orange juice taste, very weird mix. This tequila is okay for the price, its got some unique stuff going on. In a margarita it tastes like I mixed orange juice in there because of that tates I was talking about earlier

Sweet, Spicy and Citrus The primary component upfront is a sweetness, its light and bright. Then shortly after I get a spiciness, sort of like the kind you get from rye. I then taste a citrus orange juice/ lemon like note, but this only appears sometimes, when complimented by something else I'm eating or drinking. Finally, I taste the agave all throughout, it isn't overpowering, it is there and blends well. This is good. Like I said in my prior review, when mixed in a margarita the spiciness stands out
