Tastes

Allocated bottle for under $40, so had to try I guess. Heavy-handed nose, full of blood fruits with an underlying dank sweetness that gives way to leather and cinnamon. Pallet follows suit. A good find. Upon further tasting, what I had called 'blood fruits' I now believe to be a wet oak/leather vibe. Whatever. All good.

Just sinply delicious. Hard to stop drinking it. Buy again: 10/10

All the good rye stuff with a toasted sweetness added on. Maybe a bit mellow on the rye-ness for those who are really into ryes, but it suits me well.

Full flavor, like you can smell and taste every ingredient. Rye (and clove? mint?) spices are not shy. Full on, in your face, raw spices. An interesting one to sip - one or two drams is more than enough. Probably amazing in a mixed drink that calls for rye (not my bottle so I may never know).

Rich and full. Great body, balance, and taste.

Sample, from a 45ml bottle. Decent enough - enjoyable, but nothing special. I find this to be not very peaty at all. I love the 10 and this does not compare.

'Tart white rasperries'?? Ok... Anyway, this was almost very good. Nothing complex, but quite pleasant. However, there's a 'bite' to this (not bitter) that doesn't belong and distracts just a bit. Still enjoyable, don't get me wrong. 7/13/2020.

7/12/2020. Sweet, but not overly so. Smooth; nice profile. It was a sample and I don't travel, so that's that. I enjoyed it and wish I had a couple more pours. If I were to see it on the shelves, I would consider a purchase - depends on $$ of course. $35 would be a fair price. Much much better than Jura 10

Good blend of oak, burnt sweetness, toasted stuff. Thick and rich. Classic bourbon. Really good. 82 is way too low a score for this.
