Flaviar 12/8/21 Blind Taste 3. Nose is fantastic but very subtle - like a soft caramel. Flavor is like a flowery, gentle rye - almost citrusy and grassy. Not my favorite // Uncle Nearest - charred, earthy, nutmeg, apple, hay, corn

Flaviar 12/8/21 Blind Taste 2 - lots of bubbles persist upon pouring (likely a higher proof). Smells like buttered popcorn. Taste is very strong and unique, almost tinny or metalic. Sort of herbal but more leathery. Least favorite // Coppersea . The marmelade is the flavor I couldn’t put a finger on. Cherry and pecan with too much barley

Flaviar 12/8/21 Blind Taste 1 - nose is a lot of barley. Taste is nice and sharp but not long lived. Hard to comment on the taste it is so brief. Best of this bunch. // Yellowstone - caramel and herbs, little bit of rye

Had at Danny Boy (at the surprise dinner) the night I passed my OCE. Didn’t think very highly of it - it was ok and sippable but not outstanding

Fantastic rye full of spicy punch at the end and very crisp. Had the night I passed my OCE when McK took me to Whiskey Exchange.

Not as great upon having it again. Ok for the price

Had at Jingle Bell Ball 2021. Not much rye spice or rye flavor, and a little bit of ‘hard wood’ flavor that I didn’t really enjoy. Would want to try again in a more relaxed setting

Got as a prize for Christmas trivia from Jan at the Warren Center. Had on the way in to the Jingle Bell Ball 2021. Decent, light, not much of note

Very nice! Nose is underwhelming- buttery and caramel. Taste is bourbon sweet with a sharp rye spice, but not overly complex. Really good for the price, but would be better if aged longer! Bought at Belmont Bev on SR23 in Granger. **EDIT** cork was awful and each time the bottle was re-corked portions of it broke off and would enter the whiskey. Made it unattractive and less consumable***

Better than Templeton Rye. Had at McCarran Airport with McKinley on way home from Thanksgiving 2021. Spicy and a lot of nice ethanol burn with a little fruitiness at the end
