Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 7, 2021 (edited September 17, 2021)Tried another "bottom shelf" for my main mixer bourbon. Pleasantly surprised by the well rounded taste of Ezra. Nothing too outstanding but nothing to hate either. Like I said got this as a bourbon to mix but have enjoyed quite a few neat glasses....add in the value and this becomes a really nice choice17.0 USD per Bottle -
Uncle Nearest 1856 Tennessee Whiskey (Sourced Whiskey)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 7, 2021 (edited September 17, 2021)Being a Kentucky boy and loving my Bourbon, this didn't pop on my radar until a friend suggested it. Pleasantly surprised, spiciness up front reminds me of a good rye, but the vanilla herby finish is quite nice. Will recommend very nice whiskey, albeit slightly pricey. It has a good sell with the Uncle Nearest back story50.0 USD per Bottle -
Benchmark No. 8 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 22, 2020 (edited October 8, 2020)Not great but not horrible given its price point(bottom shelf). I generally use it as a mixer but can stand on its own. It will give you all the classic bourbon flavors but not one will be outstanding. This would be a good party/gameday bourbon without breaking the budget. As one review I read before buying for the first time...."hits well above it's weight" -
Sugarlands Shine Silver Cloud Tennessee Sour Mash Moonshine
Other Spirits — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 3, 2020When the label says "distilled from cane and grain", you know its pretty basic..but. The thing is, this has a corny nose and a corny taste but finishes smooth. There is just something about this I like, it may not "WOW" some but doesn't disappoint either. In my opinion what shine should taste like, if you can find it try it. Tried it's competition, Old Smokey....much perfer the taste of this. First found it at the distillery in Gatlinburg, has been a favorite shine since.21.0 USD per Bottle -
