Standard Proof 4 Year Single Barrel Barrel Strength Straight Rye
Rye — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 18, 2021Fantastic rye! Little burn for the ABV, lots of rye spice, oily, medium finish. Didn’t know any rye came out of Tennessee, go figure? Good job volunteers! -
GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 21, 2020 (edited October 25, 2020)Wonderful dram! Lots of stone fruit and slight citrusy notes. No smoke that I can detect as others have mentioned, then again, I love islay whiskeys, so my palate is desensitized! No color or chill filtration which is a huge plus. Age statement, great value at $50. -
Knappogue Castle 14 Year Twin Wood
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed March 5, 2020 (edited December 25, 2021)Excellent Irish Whiskey. Not an aficionado on Irish whiskeys, but I’ve had the likes of Jameson, Greenspot, Redbreast and some others, but this by far my favorite. Reminds me of a Speyside single malt scotch, with more floral and vanilla notes. At 46 ABV you could add a drop of water, I prefer it neat in a Glencairn. Highly recommended!
