Oban 21 Year (2018 Special Release)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 18, 2020 (edited March 14, 2022)Watered down to probably 46 percent and let it sit for a bit and this really brought out some rich flavours of heather honey smoke salt that I didn’t get after tasting it straight and also thinking it was 40% as someone else poured my first dram lol always a big shock getting 57% vs 40 ! -
First off definitely should be named something different than the original peat monster like peat fairie or something gentle because this is an insanely drinkable dream smooth slight peat burn and sherry fruit flavours mid palate really enjoyable !! Love it more than the original it had a citrus note I didn’t like

After the amazing reviews online I had to try this whiskey 🥃 it was stronger and less smooth than expected but really flavourful rich stewed fruit and campfire flavours evolves and lingers forever! Had this today as my 3rd whiskey and that’s probably where you want it! The richness can really be appreciated after having some subdued whiskeys aka every other whiskey lol! really unique flavourful scotch to say the least

El Dorado 21 Year Old Special Reserve
Aged Rum — Guyana
Reviewed April 15, 2020 (edited July 11, 2021)Wow my fave rum so far not as sweet as my second fave cenatario 20 but that’s a good thing because el dorado 21 is sweet but not too sweet! Love the Demerara flavours the Christmas cake flavours some scotch lovers pay quadruple for. -
Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye
Canadian — Alberta, Canada
Reviewed April 15, 2020 (edited January 3, 2021)A burning mouthful of amazing flavours tropical fruit and caramel! Was sipping it slowly and watering it down here and there and then tried an old fashioned with it Wow it was amazing so much depth maybe my fave old fashioned did water it to maybe 40-50% for it -
Glenfiddich 21 Year Reserva Rum Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 29, 2020 (edited April 24, 2021)Was hoping to love this as it is $400 cad here tax in got for $150usd at duty free and I would say it’s in that price league it is complex and interesting but seems a little hot for 43% and not as interesting as some other high end scotches I have tried. I do love the initial flavours evolving sweet start floral honeysuckle caramel then ends in that ashy sweetness like burnt sugars making you want another sweet sip you can go through a bottle very quickly !! -
