Apple in your face! As well on the nose as on the palate. Followed by the sherry influences: dark fruit. There's also oak, vanilla and a hint of pear. The finish isn't overly long nor is it short. The mouthfeel is quite watery although it's a bit oily. All in all Tomatin 12 is a great single malt for the price. It's easy-going. A good start for people who want to get into Scotch and even for those who want to get into sherried Scotches.32.0 EUR per Bottle

You get acetone, lemon zest and a little bit of vanilla. Tart is the key word here. In the end there's some oak and the finish doesn't last very long. This is a decent Irish whiskey to drink every day. This tastes somewhat like the Glenfiddich 12 but 80% of the taste dialed down.21.0 EUR per Bottle

Apple and pear notes dominate the palate. After that comes citrus and a really subtle hint of brine. Also some milk chocolate and honey. Maybe it's me, but I do recognise some sherry in it, even though it's only matured in ex-bourbon casks. This Scotch tastes more like an Irish whiskey in my opinion, but a good whisky nonetheless.31.0 EUR per Bottle

This isn't necessarily a bad rum, but it's the worst rum I've drunk so far. It hasn't got much going on. On the nose I'm getting exclusively burnt sugar or caramel. On the palate you get the same notes as you get on the nose, but toned down with some alcohol burn. Muted is the key word here. You also get an astringent taste, which I quite can't lay my finger on as to what it is. The aftertaste is dry with a tiny bit of smoke and earthiness. I think this rum would do better when used for mixing. This isn't really a sipping rum, unless you prefer something dry.19.0 EUR per Bottle

Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 13, 2020 (edited January 23, 2020)Classic bourbon. Predominantly brown sugar and oak. After that comes coconut and marzipan. Even though this bourbon is 100 proof, it can be alcoholic at times, in terms of alcohol burn. It's rough at moments. All in all it's an enjoyable whiskey and good value for money.29.0 EUR per Bottle
