Tastes

Pleasant smell. Light spicy bourbon. Sip 1: interesting. Full entry, mid-pallet screams “aged in wine barrels” (strong fermented grape flavor), peanuts on the end. More spicy finish than I expected. Aftertaste is Pinot Noir and peanuts. Sip 2: more of the same. I’m going to finish this one, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Hairspray, bourbon, strong smell. Sip one: hairspray, corn, peanuts, peanut butter, popcorn. Lots of flavors in this one. Very sweet aftertaste. Sip 2: more of the same. I’d like this one if it didn’t have the peanuts and peanut butter. Sip 3: overall, not a bad experience.

Pleasant smell. Kind of a cinnamon vanilla. Flat flavor profile. Almost thin, but not quite. I like it.

2010 vintage. Very mellow smell. Nothing specific I can detect, but pleasant. Sip 1: small entry with fruity notes. Full green plant flavor in the middle, bold peanut flavor on the back end. Finish is long, slightly warm, and all peanut flavor. I don’t like peanut flavor in my bourbon, so it’s not for me. If you like peanuts, this is a unique choice. Sip 2 was identical.

Yum! Smooth vanilla.

Pinesol on the nose, but not in an unpleasant way. Sip 1: green plant stuff taste. Sip 2: not a favorite. Would not try again.

Rubbery cinnamon smell. Sip 1: watery odd taste. I can’t decide if it tastes like shitty powder flavoring covered popcorn or body odor. Sip 2: more of the same. I can’t finish it.

Smells a bit like candy corn, plastic packaging and all. Sip 1, yuck. The aftertaste is corn (not in a good or bad way). Sip 2, the entry is pleasant enough. The mid pallet is bold and terrible. The finish is corn, again, not good or bad. I wouldn’t do this one again.

Pine on the nose. Maybe a bit of butterscotch down deep. Interesting. Lots of flavors, none of them bold. Peanuts, sweet on the lips. Lots and lots of peanut aftertaste. Smooth and mellow. It’s not my choice of flavors, but it’s not bad in any way. Probably wouldn’t do again if there were choices, but might do if it’s all that was available.
