Highland Park 18 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed January 31, 2015 (edited March 10, 2015)This is heaven in a glass. Sweet but complex in the nose and spicy, pungent goodness on the taste. Everything good you've heard about is true, anything bad is written by an idiot. -
Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed October 29, 2014 (edited November 21, 2014)I've come back to this after a few months trying Lagavulin and others. Maybe my palette has developed but this is now a favourite. Sipping whisky for sure and best with a touch of water. But sweet yet medicinal on the nose with a smooth kick of toffee caramel followed by a tornado of smoke and peat on the finish. Not as full in the mouth as the Lagavulin, but really this is a great whisky.
