At 86 proof AE is exactly what it is advertised as...smooth & sweet with a hint of spice at the end. An easy bourbon to get introduced to and drink neat. My first nose was met with heavy vanilla. Light on the palate. Just a good well balanced bourbon.

Big blast of vanilla on the nose that leads to a heavy sweet coating the front palate followed by a big blast of spice on the finish.

I personally enjoy a bourbon on the sweeter side and this one doesn’t disappoint for me. Hints of banana on the palate, smooth going down with little to no spice bite when sipping over a cube of ice.

Smooth and sweet. Dark coloring indicates a bourbon aged longer than 4 years. I enjoy this best neat.

Now I love me some hot tamale candies and first sip of this took me right there with a hit of cinnamon spice and a little sweetness. Although for a 100% rye it’s pretty tame and doesn’t have a last long on the palate.

Just opened a new bottle and it was fresh. The cork popped, a cloud of gasses and bubbles after the first pour. Vanilla was the first note nosed led by a similar sweetness on the tongue. 90 proof so smooth with no bite, but a faint hint of spice. Just a really good bourbon at an affordable price. The more I taste BT, the better it gets...or the better I get at tasting a good solid bourbon!

Medium in color. Charred oak hits right up front with a hint of rye spice on the back palate. Smooth finish with an overall complex taste.

A warm soothing spiciness that lingers for a long time. Goes down smooth with little to no burn.

Fruity on the nose and spicy on the palate. Decent sipping bourbon for the cost. Would but again.

Vanilla and banana notes on the nose. Spice with little to no bite on the palate. Faith easy drinking for the price point. Would buy again.
