Balcones Lineage Texas Single Malt
American Single Malt — Texas, USA
Reviewed July 22, 2020 (edited February 4, 2021)I was fortunate to get the last bottle of this at Specs. It was priced below $30. Nose is fruits like baked apples with slight cinnamon. Some lemon or light orange as well. Maybe some less sweet smelling lifesavers too. It’s definitely Balcones on nose and taste. There is hot lemon and cinnamon. The orange is there but maybe in peel form. This one is different than the Single Malt. Maybe a mix of the Pot Still Bourbon and the Single Malt.29.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods -
Balcones is one of my favorites. The color is beautifully dark amber. The nose is cherry, some charcoal, and licorice. Taste is joyful. It is for sure Balcones. The cherry is there along with some light coffee. It has some slight burn following that holds you for a while. I love Balcones and Texas.33.0 USD per BottleTotal Wine & More
