    Has been in my closet for 15 years, a limited edition run. Light color, body, and very light peat. Not much flavor--smooth, a little cereal grain sweetness, little oak or smoke. There and gone on the tongue.

    Astringent, iodine and wood. Ethanol hot and little mouthfeel. Opens up a bit with ice/water. 90% rye mashbill gets away from them.

    Tasting the newer 18% ABV version being sold in France. Burnt orange flavor and gentian bitterness, neither overpowering. Excellent balance, good as a digestif, and essential in a number of classic pre-WWII cocktails. Now if someone would just start importing it to the USA. Worth bringing a bottle home in your luggage from France, Britain, and the EU.

    Thin body and lightly sweet, vegital and a little citrus and mint on finish. Does taste like sweetened coca leaves in light ethanol. Needs a plain base alcohol (and maybe a little lime) in cocktails for its vegital minty flavor to stand out-- vodka, champagne, club soda. Interesting, but not compelling.

    Juniper, coriander and cardamom very distinct, with citrus and mint coming in on the finish. Medium body, a little cloudy, good mouthfeel. Nice gin from Ogden's Own Distillery in Ogden, UT--this distillery is making good products.

    It's vodka, Distilled from corn. Clean flavor with some creamy mouthfeel. Well produced, but even better marketing. Utah-made vodka that pokes fun at Mormon polygamy and their abstinence from alcohol. Worth the label alone.

    Version of Czech herbal liqueur. Licorice and cola nose; sweet astringent herbs, bitter root, and anise; finish is anise and bitter-sour. Better mixed as bittering agent in cocktail than as digestif unless served very cold. An interesting product from a new distillery with a vision.

    It's vodka..., but this has a soft viscous mouthfeel and sweetness that is nice. Russet potatoes, column-distilled in potato country, Rigby, Idaho (Teton Glacier Distillers).

    My only experience with cachaca. Grassy, sugar cane, citrus and tropical fruit. No off flavors, no real "funk" like a rhum agricole. Works well in a Caipherena or Canchanchara cocktail.

    Pleasant whiskey, some spice, more sweet grain and oatmeal, a little vanilla oak on the finish. Felt muddled in flavor. Good, but maybe not at that price.
