Conniption Navy Strength Gin
Navy-Strength Gin — North Carolina, USA
Reviewed April 20, 2019 (edited August 23, 2019)Clear juniper and spice with a viscous mouthfeel that lingers with the spice aftertaste. Not overly hot straight up, but the extra alcohol punch is better in classic cocktails. Rated 4. Retasted this Feb 2021. Noticed more herbal spice notes, but juniper still pronounced. Rich and full mouthfeel, some heat, but very balanced for Navy strength which makes it great in cocktails. Bumping my rating up. -

Leopold Bros. Aperitivo
Bitter Liqueurs — Colorado, USA
Reviewed March 20, 2019 (edited September 26, 2020)Pot distilled citrus and gentian root, colored with cochineal. Beautiful clear red. Dry and a little less sweet than Campari, good lingering bitterness. A good Campari replacement in classic cocktails.
