Springbank 15 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed July 31, 2022 (edited September 16, 2022)Beautiful! Very different from Springbank 10 because of the sherry casks, but it is still Springbank. Thick, creamy and delicious. Beautiful casks! -
Arran Small Batch Heavily Peated - Sherry Casks - Bottled Exclusively for Sweden
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed July 30, 2022 (edited May 18, 2023)Deep red brown color from all the sherry. Grows on me. Powerful, nice, quite all right. Cannot believe this is 50% but it is. Very nice peat in the direction of dark chocolate. Tasty, fresh and happy. -
Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 12, 2021 (edited December 15, 2021)First impression was: no way, Glenfiddich left in the microwave, like overprocessed and mute, pale, thin, artificially colored. Further down the bottle it is okay, Speyside fruity, honey, slightly briny, and quite okay. Still thin, it works and maybe good enough. -
Highland Park Ambassador's Choice 10 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed September 10, 2021Very Highland Park sherry, earth, caramel, chocolate, oak, sweet, touch of smoke. Too good for its nice price, probably why they discontinued it. -
Highland Park Twisted Tattoo 16 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed September 9, 2021 (edited May 25, 2022)Very much Highland Park. Wasn't impressed at all until way down into the bottle. Needs to sit in the glass for half and hour, then it opens up and becomes happy, caramelly, soft, thick, woody, earthy, guess a touch of peppery smoke. It's okay.
