Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed November 11, 2017 (edited November 19, 2017)my first reaction was "where the hell was this stuff before now?" If you ever felt that Jamison could use a little extra body, a little extra ummph- this is the cure. It’s really a great whiskey, full flavored and interesting - the stout adds a lovely chocolate mild smokey sweet netting that is sewn into the body of the whiskey. I may buy still buy Jamison shot n’ a beer at hipster bars because its .....cheap and classic, and cheap, however, this will be my new standard Irish whisky at home. -

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Rye

Reviewed October 29, 2017 (edited November 11, 2017)“Tastes like grandma” - Ralphie and chief Wiggum https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bBfejqLC6wg I find many ryes to be one dimensional;, I find myself buying and trying them over and over only to discover that many taste disappointingly similar, the spices and body are very similar- this bottle is not exactly an exception to my feelings; however, there is a smoothness and complexity to this bottle that has merit. The palette is sugary invoked me to think about it a bit more, there’s a floral theme here that isn’t overpowering, but isn’t great - better than many high end whistle pigs. Oink
