Tastes

Light spicy rye aroma. Rich and spicy flavor, more than expected. Getting rye and that classic ghost owl black pepper with vanilla undertones, excellent blend. A great rye.

Rich aroma, caramel and wood. Deep spicy flavor thats subtle at first then slowly builds over time into a peppery finish. Classic bourbon caramel sweetness mixed in too, but that slow spice build shines. The flavors that change over time are always cool. Richness facilitates it well. Very nice.

Sweet Smoky aroma. I smell more hickory and campfire than classic peat which is interesting. Rich on the tongue with that classic ardbeg smoke, but tastes sweeter than the flagship expression. The sweetness complements the smoke and richness well. Honestly to me tastes like a mildly sweeter classic ardbeg.

Dark caramel aroma. Some caramel but mostly cinnamon taste, flavor is good but balance is a little off. Medium tail. Didn't care for it at first but it slowly grew on me.

Aroma is all grain. Like super grain. It smells like the malting process. Light and thin, with some harsher notes on the tail. Little butterscotch but mostly just vanilla and burn.

Dark molasses and caramel aroma, taste is heavy and sweet. Sweetness is molasses and peach. Proof goes well with flavors and richness. Wood burn is excellent, medium to high richness. Actually reminds me a ton of Curry sark prohibition.

Fruity grain aroma, subtly sweet. Maybe peaches ? Sweet and spicy on the tongue, sweet first then a blossoming cinnamon/pepper spice that grows with the tail. Tail is long, product of a richer body. Good, but tastes a little far from whiskey. Color is super light

Dark burnt caramel aroma. Strong sweet caramel tongue, then the proof comes flaring in and overtakes everything. After the hit the tail is oak with the burn, lingers for a really long time. The proof feels like part of how the flavor develops, which I don't notice very often

Dark peat and fruit aroma, absolutely lovely. Spicy and rich, barley sweetness mixed in. The spicy tail lingers forever. What you'd expect from Highland Park.

Aroma had some beer notes in with the sherry for me, like it was put in some sort of beer cask. Flavor is strong and sweet. Rich creaminess that matches the flavor wonderfully. Some spice and wood above the sweetness, good tail.
