Tastes

Smells amazing but tastes kinda weak. Some light spice and just kinda weak taste. Not bad, just lacking.

Complex spicy aroma, something dark like molasses or toffee. Richness and rye spice, but balanced super well by the sweetness. One of the best ryes I've had.

Complex fruity smell. Caramelly sweetness with something dark and fruity, maybe plum? Super rich mouth feel, melts across the palate, absolutely lovely. Oak and fire, sliding into a very long tail. Barrel spice underneath the sweetness. Absolutely lovely.

Deep complex aroma. Port smell coming through strong. Wood and port hit first, they amplify each other rather well. Huge proof burn hits after, but it works well with the darker flavors. Richness is good, more would have carried it a little further. Still very nice.

Lovely complex aroma, I'm getting dried fruit. Like plum. Very sweet flavor, bold apricot flavors. Has scotch vibes, wood underneath the sweetness. Has some richness that pulls into a long woody tail.

Light aroma here, oak and a sweetness I can't place. Thinner body than I'd expect, mostly wood flavors balanced with that sugar sweetness. The balance is good, maybe there's some spice on the tail too.

Same cane sugar light aroma from single barrel. Flavor is the same too, but even thinner. Basically feels like the little brother of the single barrel. Basically if you want something that hits a little less.

This time around I smell sour, which I'm not sure I've encountered yet. Flavor is very light and thin, almost no burn but not much of anything really. Apple, and the same sour tang on the tail that I got on the nose.

Artificial caramel and acetone, just like all other cheap Canadian stuff I've tried. Maybe some rye spice. Truly terrible.

Sweet woody aroma. Oak is of course going to dominate here but it smells amazing. Flavor is rich and oily, with the oak balanced with a lovely fruit. Maybe cherry or some sort of berry. Much better than I remember, the hefty body balances the bold flavor. Some spice on the tail.
