Copperworks American Single Malt (Single Cask No. 22-2)
American Single Malt — Washington, USA
Reviewed June 28, 2024Super powerful wood flavor , like licking the inside of a barrel. The tingle of the tail makes it taste minty, or some sort of sparkly herb. Interesting, but not my style.Copperworks Distilling - Kenmore -
Copperworks American Single Malt (Release No. 050)
American Single Malt — Washington, USA
Reviewed June 28, 2024Caramel sweetness rather than the juicy. Barley is there too, tastes like release 49 but with smooth caramel replacing the juicy fruit. Blends a but better, I definitely prefer it.Copperworks Distilling - Kenmore -
Copperworks American Single Malt (Release No. 049)
American Single Malt — Washington, USA
Reviewed June 28, 2024Heavenly caramel smell, tastes like fruit though, like berry maybe? It's thinner bodied but juicy, mouthwatering before the kick. Kind of a cool mouthfeel.Copperworks Distilling - Kenmore -
King's Creek Black Label Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee , USA
Reviewed June 28, 2024Tastes like someone left a bottle of jim beam to oxidize for a while. Acetone and burn, sweetness tastes artificial. Terrible, but two stars for not being Canadian. -
Heavy peat on the tongue like you'd expect, but with a sweet fruit counter to it, almost tangy. Like lemon or something citrus. It's more juicy than sour, and a super weird contrast to the peat. Pretty light body, very different from your usual deep smoky complexity from islay scotches. The more I drink it the more the lemon shines brighter than the peat. Definitely not my favorite, but quite unique.

Stranahan's Distillery Exclusive Red Wine Cask
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed May 25, 2024 (edited May 27, 2024)Aroma is tannin heavy and dry. Flavor is sharp and powerful, the tannin bitter of the wine barrel taking the front seat. Wave of flavor, riding what id describe as the default stranahan's Whiskey base, just a solid American single malt kind of flavor. Again, wish it was richer, but the power of the flavor is quite enjoyable. You don't always get well done bitter flavors in whiskey either, points for that.Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey -
Stranahan's Diamond Peak 2024 (Caribbean Rum Cask)
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed May 25, 2024Light sugar came sweet notes on top of barley aroma. Flavor shows the rum cask finish well, sweet and light. Some faint vanilla and malt flavors, balanced ok but a little thin. Wish there was more richness to carry the flavors better. Still enjoyable. Ps: enjoyed it more over timeStranahan's Colorado Whiskey
