Woodinville Bourbon Moscatel Cask Finish (2021 Harvest Release)
Bourbon — Washington, USAReviewed June 20, 2022Heavy caramel aroma, sweet and syrupy. Maybe some subtle wine tannins too. Caramel is there on the tongue, but with some grape and citrus blended in perfectly. Lemon is more noticable on the tail. Excellent balance, the proof and acidity might be a little intense together though. Tail comes off a little harsh, but still well done.Woodinville Whiskey Co.
Hancock's President's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed May 27, 2022Oak and faint caramel aroma. Subtle. Flavor is also rather subtle, medium-light richness with some nice oak and sweetness. Sweet flavor is distinct, but not too strong. Caramel underneath, oak and spice on top. Some more body would've done it some good. Spice and alcohol burn stick around for a tail but there isn't much there to carry it.The Barrel Thief
Bernheim 7 Year Original Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Kentucky, USAReviewed May 27, 2022Sharp Green aroma, not Irish grassy but like fresh cut lawn grass. Actually pretty bad. Flavor is also green, acetone, sharp alcohol hit. Some young wood buried in there, better than Canadian, but still truly unenjoyable. The Barrel Thief
Other Whiskey — Japan, JapanReviewed May 15, 2022Dark barley flavors, heavy vanilla.
The Fukano Whisky 10 Year
Single Malt — Kyushu, JapanReviewed May 15, 2022Dark malty aroma. Super strong vanilla flavor, rich but a little sickly sweet. Heavy barley, some wood.
Saint Liberty Bertie's Bear Gulch Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Texas , USAReviewed May 15, 2022Fantastic smell, super grain forward. Explosion of flavor, tastes a lot like beer. Points for originality.
Saint liberty Mary's four grain
Bourbon — USAReviewed May 15, 2022Deep and musty aroma. Corn and vanilla flavor, medium body with some yeasty or hoppy flavors. Interesting combo, a little sharp. Bear gulch does it a touch better.
Copperwork American Single Malt Release No. 42
Peated Single Malt — Seattle, Wa, USAReviewed May 15, 2022Molasses and heaven on the nose. Smells fantastic. Flavor is deep peat, with an underlying sweetness. Oily, rich, mild spice, but just perfect briny smoke from the Ardbeg finish. Magnificent. Almost a little too sweet and rich to drink for too long.
Sagamore Spirit Straight Rye
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Maryland), USAReviewed May 15, 2022All rye on the nose. Super grain forward, very flavorful but pretty much just the one overpowering flavor. Go for the cask strength one instead of you want more balance and depth.
Sagamore Spirit Cask Strength Straight Rye
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Maryland), USAReviewed May 15, 2022Deep beautiful spicy smell. Rye hit is mild, medium rich and incredibly well balanced. Some sweetness before alcohol kick at the end. One of the better ryes I've had.
