A really underrated whisky. Such a cool bottle and brand - with the right campaign it cld be competing with JD for “coolness” and commerciality - sponsoring gigs, cool T-shirt’s etc

Terrible whisky - should be outlaw for what they did to Kilmarnock

It’s a weird one for me this, it’s is initially dry to taste - but then a jump to the sweet side with an almost tangy feel. It’s no unpleasant, but just has an feel of formal grandness rather than relaxation - if it’s put in front of me I’d drink it, but wouldn’t choose it

I am in no way a fan of smoke or peat. But the levels in Jura are ok, I find it pleasant - and it still works mixed. The bottle is designed nicely too

Not offensive in anyway, but not exciting either. Just a little more sweetness and fruit and it would be a real winner

Really not a fan. I’ll be honest I didn’t even finish it as it bored me that much

The flavour isn’t really for me, but I can see it growing on me. I love the concept of how the solera is made with 50% of this batch going into the next so that the product is ever evolving into something new, but with its roots deep into its ancestral batches. If it wasn’t so dry and a bit less smoke it would be perfect for me

Ballantines use to be my favourite whisky, but as my tastes have changed and I’m moved to milder flavours I have bought it less and less - it’s a recipe that has too many dominant flavours, there’s a similar level of smoke, peat and caramel mixed with notable flavours you would find in sweeter brands. So instead of a dry oak, smoke, and peat it’s more of a sweet oak, smoke, peat

A really unique flavour. Has smooth fruity and caramel tastes with this oaky undertone that develops into a nutty aftertaste that I wasn’t expecting. Very pleasant, and something a little different - lovely as an old fashioned

Wooow I’ve not experimented with the American market much. But I wanted to venture out a bit, I’ll be honest I seen this and makers at the same price, chose this due to the bottle...... love it - can serve it str8 or as an old fashioned or sour and it tastes great - only think that lets it down is the claims around the company
