First impression, this stuff is really expensive, is it worth the hype and the price? Hell yes! Distiller pretty much nailed the tasting notes. In the nose I got sweet brown sugar, butterscotch, char, and a ton of vanilla. On the palate it's rich, it's sweet and mother of god is there vanilla! You can taste a little bit of the barrel char and a it finishes there is a pleasant building rye spice that goes on and on. This is a phenomenal pour, great stuff!

On the nose cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel, and a hint of oak and ethanol. On the palate it's sweet with brown sugar and cherries coming through, yet slightly bitter from the oak. The finish is nice, just enough burn to warm you up.

So I'm not a huge rye guy, but this stuff is damn good. The nose is sugar, spice and everything nice. Brown sugar, citrus, and char dominate. On the palate it's thicc, with 2 c's, potentially 3. It's rich with a really nice mouth feel, almost like a brown sugar syrup. Almost immediately you get a hint of citrus that begins to transform into a building warmth from the rye and proof. The finish is long and enjoyable leaving you with tingling lips and hot breath. Glad I picked this up.

Honey and sweet cereal on the nose. On the palate it's sweet with a little spice and ethanol coming through. It could use a few more years of aging.

On the nose typical four roses chocolate, cherries, and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate it's sweet but balanced with vanilla and cinnamon rounding out the experience. The finish is nice and warming, just right. Really good bourbon for the price.

This is a very interesting whiskey. To start out, it comes at you with some really weird scents on the nose. It's like mix of smelling fresh wheat in a grain bin... but also mixed in with paint thinner. Fortunately on the palate you don't get paint thinner, but what you do get is almost like a really high abv beer. Lots of earthy tones from the grain with a building rye spearmint spice to round it out. It has a decently long finish with that rye spice lingering on your lips. Final verdict: I'm not impressed. I certainly regret paying $134 for this considering the same money would've gotten me another bottle of little book chapter 5. I think distiller missed the mark on this review.

On the nose smokey smooth caramel cherries. On the palate it's sweet and very mellow. There honey and cherries with no bite whatsoever. The finish is medium long, but sweet and soft. I'm a really big fan of this whiskey. It kinda bridges the gap between bourbon and scotch and I dig it.

Been after this bottle for a while and I have to say it's been worth the chase. Charcoal and pears on the nose. The palate is rich and thick with sweetness, apples and pears, floral notes, and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is warming and slightly bitter. I'm a big fan of this bottle, definitely going to need more.

On the nose it's peanut butter and chocolate. With the first sip you taste that smooth peanut butter note, with soft vanilla and a surprisingly light burn for the proof. The finish is long and smoldering. Such a nice dram.
