Blue Run Reflection I Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed June 4, 2022 (edited November 10, 2022)I picked this up because of how much I love their high rye so here we go. On the nose it's odd, almost like spearmint and light chocolate. On the palate it's smooth and velvety, the sweet chocolate comes through I picked up on the nose. As the chocolate fades a burn builds for a decent finish.95.0 USD per BottleSouthern Spirits - Beer, Wine & Liquor Store -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2022-01 "Ronnie's Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed May 25, 2022 (edited August 23, 2022)On the nose it's definitely bookers: nutty ethanol, brown sugar and caramel. In the palate it's very smooth, with a building rye spice that hearts you up from the inside out. Caramel and oak shine through, but are quickly taken over by the spice. The finish is long and enjoyable.90.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 6, 2022 (edited May 26, 2022)On the nose I almost get a jack daniels like hint of banana and charcoal, but it's sweeter and fruitier. The palate is pretty thick with an initial sweetness that is rapidly overtaken by spice and leads to a long, warm finish. While I think this is good, I don't think it's worthy of all the hype. -
Four Roses Private Selection Single Barrel Barrel Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 4, 2022 (edited September 27, 2022)Virginia ABC barrel pick OESK. I've been on the hunt for this one for a while, finally got lucky. On the nose caramel, cherries, and ethanol. On the palate neat it's fiery but velvety smooth. It starts off super sweet with caramel and brown sugar then erupts into a building burn that leaves a very long lasting finish. On the rocks is brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa with a more tamed finish. I prefer it on the rocks but it's great either way. Glad I got the opportunity to buy this, it's a great pour!82.99 USD per Bottle -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A122
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 2, 2022 (edited April 12, 2023)On the nose I get huge creme brulee notes with and extra hint of brown sugar. On the palate she's rich, like Ivanka Trump, but smooth, also like Ivanka Trump. You get a load of velvety vanilla, like Monica Lewinsky (probably), followed by a building burning finish, like the herpes Bill Clinton gave her (probably), but in a good way. Sorry to get all political, but this is good stuff. Another bottle of ECBP in my possession is always a win.70.0 USD per Bottle -
On the nose it's malty and musty with a big ethanol punch. After letting it sit a bit I got a hint of brown sugar when the ethanol flashed off, but still musty. Reminds me of corn liquor moonshine. On the palate it's pretty smooth, it's sweet, and has a building burn. I get a little brown sugar flavor, but it quickly fades. The finish is odd. The flavor dissipates quickly, but the burn remains for a while. Overall first impression, it's way too young. Could use a few more years in the barrel.35.0 USD per Bottle

Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed April 25, 2022 (edited July 5, 2022)The most notable thing I get on the nose is a whiff of honey *nut cheerios, sweetness and bread. On the palate it's redbreast 12 on steroids. It's super sweet, rich, and has a healthy burn to it. The finish is very nice, it has a burn but it's subtle and soft and leaves you wanting more.
