Knappogue Castle 12 Year Bourbon Cask Matured
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed March 17, 2022 (edited March 23, 2022)More depth of flavor than other Irish whiskeys I have tried. Hint of lemon and menthol on the nose, along with a bit of vanilla. More vanilla on the palate with maybe some chocolate. A lingering finish leaving some wood and grass on the tongue. Overall, a nice neat dram. -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 3, 2022 (edited February 20, 2022)The more I taste this, the more I like it. Each dram brings more highlights of the traditional Lagavulin flavors, the warmth of the smoky peat, and then the slight bitterness of the Guinness on the back of the palate. A favorite cold weather sipper.
