nose - clove and earthiness palette - follows through on those nose notes, the rye really shines thriugh in this bourbon, leaving the sweetness in the backseat on the follow through refreshing is how i would sum up this one, makes me feel like im himing through a pine forest. the sweetness is more subdued. enjoyed this alot!

nose - oak and vanilla forward, way forward. a little bit of salty sweetness as well. palette - comes off younger on the palette than the nosing presents, with a more raw corn and underlying oak wood. the slightest vanilla on the finish, with more spice than anything. overall, the nose is more enjoyable than the palette on this first pour from the bottle. not as refined or balanced on the palette as even bottle and bond options out there aged less than this 7 year.

J.T. Meleck Louisiana Handcrafted Rice Whiskey
Single Grain — Louisiana, USA, USA
Reviewed July 15, 2023 (edited January 14, 2024)nose - sweet forward, vanillas, caramels, slight oak palette - oak forward, subtle rice-iness mid taste, smooth creaminess on the finish pleasing and easy sipper, great pour -
nose - initial peatiness, followed by soft subtle honey and green apple. palette - very subtle initially, surprised by it’s lightness as it hits the palette. builds out from that to a strong smokiness, getting more barrled oak that follows on the ending with a hint of honey and soft sweetness and a little tart on the finish. i am surprised by how subtle this one starts on the palette, with the depth of the nosing. it takes a second to get going, but i think that makes this a very easy, regular sipper. comes off classy and suave more than robust and forward, which isnt common in peaty scotches in my experience. really nice.90.0 USD per Bottle

nose - strong vanilla and carmel, a medium amount of oakiness comes through palette - surprising amount of viscous mouth feel for a youthful bourbon, stronger oak on the tasting and a great follow through of vanilla and caramel overall, not many better deals for the price point this comes in at. great product, great pour.30.0 USD per Bottle
