Dry Fly Cask Strength Straight Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Washington, USA
Reviewed October 9, 2020 (edited February 18, 2021)This is really strong on the nose and needs to open. The nose was very much wheater traditional, in fact I couldn’t tell it apart from Rebel Yell 100. The flavor on the palette is apricot preserves finishing in amaretto. Really unique and flat out my favorite wheater, destroying Weller and Rebel Yell 10 year. Amazing!50.0 USD per BottleTrailhead Liquor -

Minor Case Straight Rye Sherry Cask Finished
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 12, 2020 (edited August 21, 2021)Nose has hints of holiday spice notes typical with rye, but a clear undertone of sherry. Pallette is smooth and level with the sherry tempering rye dominance. -
Floral and herbal nose with slight medicinal tinge. More syrup and oil mouth feel than any other Old Forester, but retains dry finish. Lots of tea in the body with dark cherry and a slight rising burn to the finish, which has shades of absinthe. A unique experience, but not what I would rush back to.
